Reinier van Lanschot - Taking personal development (not too) seriously

Reinier van Lanschot is co-president of the pan-European party Volt Europa. He shares the leadership challenges of a growing movement, how coaching helps leaders, how he stays positive & grounded, and his advice for everyone joining politics.

Reinier van Lanschot is co-president of the pan-European party Volt Europa. He's founded the Dutch chapter of Volt in 2018 - where, only a few years later, Volt made it into the Dutch Parliament. He ran as top candidate in the Netherlands for the 2019 European elections. He is also a trained community organizer and graduate of Harvard Kennedy School.

This episode in a nutshell: Personal development & personal growth are essential for those in politics: thinking how to show up as the best version of ourselves, and putting that into practice. For those who constantly think about how to help others and how to change society, it helps to balance that with some self-reflection, some working on ourselves, being the change we want to see.

politicwise - politics meets personal development
politicwise is where politics meets personal development.
It’s for those who want to make a difference in the world out there, while working on themselves: being the change they want to see. It’s for learners, beginners, the open-minded.
I bring together an eclectic mix of political leaders, scientists and change-makers to discuss the daily challenges of political leadership and the mindsets, tools and routines to thrive in politics.
